Delivery Information

Packages are dispatched after receipt of full payment, and clearance of funds in our direct bank account. We ship internationally using international registered post or DHL Express Courier – various factors contribute as to which option is available for each specific order such as weight, metal content, and total value.

Within Australia, shipments are sent via Australia Post services, or with DHL Express Courier depending on the value and/or weight of the items purchased. If you have preferred delivery services that you’d like to utilise, then we can arrange that, however you are required to pay for the additional cost.  Please feel free to contact us if you have special delivery instructions and/or requirements.

We ship Monday – Thursdays each week for security purposes so that packages are always in transit and not sitting unnecessarily over a weekend in a warehouse.  We pride ourselves on respecting and appreciating the fragility and value of the products we provide.  We take the utmost care and attention to ensure your purchased investment product arrives to you in immaculate, mint condition during the delivery service.  If you require any further details on the delivery and packaging processes we follow, please feel free to contact us.

Delivery Lead Times

All products are stored securely, and almost daily products are arriving and leaving our premises, so you can be guaranteed that turnaround times for processing your order are very short.

The precious metals market is experiencing enormous unprecedented demand, which inevitably tightens the supply chains with the various mint houses we deal with, impacting at times upon delivery lead times.  Our database system includes inventory management – what we advertise for purchase is in inventory or readily available to order on your behalf within our international supply network.

Due to the extreme volatility of spot market prices, products are locked into the market at time of order, and shipments can take up to 2-3 business days depending on the product purchased. Bullion purchasing can be complex and distribution of product cannot be compared to other retail purchases.

As a registered precious metals dealer here in Australia, we comply fully with Australian Anti-Money Laundering / Counter Terrorism Financing legislation.  Certain transactions may require clients to comply with our identification procedures in line with Austrac requirements, which can impact upon delivery lead times.  Please refer to our ‘Identification Requirements’ page for more information.

Throughout the whole order and delivery process, in line with our Customer Charter, we focus on keeping you informed around any delays that may arise.

Returns

Imperial Bullion does not accept returns on bullion products unless it has been incorrectly supplied or described. Please consider your order carefully before committing to purchase.  For any incorrectly supplied, damaged or other order related issues, Imperial Bullion must receive written notification (email or mail), and where applicable, photo evidence within seven (7) days of the delivery date.

In situations where items purchased are on pre-order, these are purchased with full knowledge that the items are not in stock, and Imperial Bullion can only provide estimated delivery items based on information received by our supplier.  In the event of changes to delivery times, these are completely out of our control and due to this, no shipments will be split or orders cancelled without the additional postage, shipping and processing/cancellation charges being covered by the buyer.

Any products returned to Imperial Bullion in special approved circumstances, MUST be insured for their full value. All products shipped by Imperial Bullion, as part of our internal processes, will be videotaped to ensure that the contents of the package match the included paperwork.

Bullion coins and bars are supplied as investment products and supplied in original manufacturer’s condition. Imperial Bullion buys and sells within the second-hand bullion market, but all products ordered online are NEW products direct from the associated Mint or their approved and appointed regional distributor.  Any second-hand bullion products will clearly be listed as such.
